Nearside Productions will collect and process the personal data that you have provided to us about yourself when submitting your scripts and other documents as part of our ‘Flesh and Blood Stories Open Call Out’ for the following purposes:

To keep you informed of opportunities, seminars, masterclasses and other industry discussions
To update you on the progress of your submission, the call out and any related topics

The personal data that Nearside Productions will collect through your submission are:

Your phone number
Your email address
Your agent’s (or representative’s) name, phone number and email address (where applicable)
Your CV, resume or any other information you provide to us in respect of your experience, education, skills, contact details, and any other information that you choose to disclose in your submission
Any personal information that you choose to include as part of your submission
Who is the Data Controller?
Nearside Productions Ltd is the “data controller” of your personal data. This means that the Nearside Productions decides what your personal data is used for and the ways in which it is processed. For the avoidance of doubt, your personal data will be collected and processed solely for the purposes as set out in this privacy notice. Nearside Productions, as the date controller, has the responsibility to comply, and to demonstrate compliance with, UK data protection law.

Sharing your Personal Data
Nearside Productions works with approved third-parties who assist us in the running of our business and the provision of our services. These third-parties only use your personal data on behalf of Nearside Productions Ltd and not independently of Nearside Productions Ltd. We use an online platform to collect and store your submission. To ensure we provide you with opportunities beyond the Call Out, and to develop your skills and talent more widely, Nearside Productions may from time to time share your personal information and scripts (treatments, outlines and/or projects) with third parties such as independent production companies, agents, producers, theatres/venues, public funding bodies and/or any other relevant third party partners who are seeking talented writers and/or content.
In the event we share your personal information and/or scripts with a third party partner, we will tell you who the third party is and why we’ve shared your information. Should Nearside Productions share your script(s) and/or personal information with a third party partner, the third party partner will act as separate controllers of your personal information and scripts (and details of how such third parties will manage your personal information can be found in their privacy policy and/or notice). We may also share your personal data with a third party where required or permitted by law.
Retaining your Personal Data
Nearside Productions will retain your personal data for a period of five (5) years following your last submission, after which it will be deleted in accordance with Nearside Productions policies. The five (5) year retention period will reset each time you make a submission to Nearside Productions.
